Registration Information
How to get information for registration as a professional
geologist in Arkansas:
Contact this office by mail, phone, fax, or e-mail to request
an application packet. Or you may simply download the necessary forms from the links on this web page. In order for an application
to be complete and brought before the Board for consideration,
it must include the following:
For Geologists-in-training:
- Completed application form Application
Form- PDF
- $20 application fee
- Two personal reference forms Personal
Reference Form -
PDF
- Transcripts directly received from the school or university
by the Board’s office
- Successful passage of Part I (Fundamentals of Geology)
of the National Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG)
examination (**See below)
For Professional Geologists:
- Completed application form Application

- $20 application fee
- Three professional reference forms Professional
Reference Form - PDF
(all must be from registered professional geologists)
- Two personal reference forms Personal
Reference Forms - PDF
- Transcripts directly received from the school or university
by the Board’s office
- Successful passage of Part I (Fundamentals of Geology)
and Part II (Practice of Geology) of the National Association
of State
Boards of Geology (ASBOG) examinations (**See below)
- Documentation of work experience Qualifications
for Applicants
- Verification of Licensure/Registration Form - PDF ( Use this form if you have already taken the ASBOG exam in another state, or you will be seeking registration via a comity agreement.)
** You must contact the Board office to obtain the ASBOG Examination
